Throughout the years the dog and I spent driving back and forth across the country, it often felt like we were stuck on a sort of möbius strip—which is why I started experimenting with ways to print this story in the form of an actual möbius strip.
In this reconfigured version, the photos reflect the dimensions of a windshield and alternate with text passages, creating a more fluid reading experience and strengthening the relationship between text and image.
The piece can be read on both sides and in both directions, echoing the story’s elliptical content.
With a single twist, the accordion book can be secured as a möbius strip and read in perpetuity, the polarity configuration making the möbius twist foolproof.
